Mike Kearney got started as a professional DJ by doing a weekly radio show on WNUB 89.1 in Northfield, Vermont. He was trained in accordance to FCC rules and regulations in order to be on that show. He also did a year and a half on Boston's WBCC radio station, where he had a regular music show and also did the sports broadcast during the news broadcasts 3 times a day.
